Did we mention a willingness to use your muscles (must be able to lift 50 lbs.) and get dirty? Works well on own, as well as with others. Displays a willingness to follow direction, and take responsibility for actions. Negative TB test, tetanus shot, and excellent references required. Applicant must be 21 years or older. Must also be responsible, reliable, dependable, punctual, and committed. |

Position Available Now WantedFull-time Wildlife Educator/PresenterAnimal Edutainment, Inc, Animal Ambassador Outreach Program seeks resumes. Must have a professional appearance and outstanding “people skills”. Must have a lively personality and charismatic presence. Ability to work both independently, and as a team player. Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, be able to lift 50lbs., and have a sense of humor. Must demonstrate the ability to listen and follow directions. Responsibilities include: daily care and maintenance of animal compound; handling of a diverse group of animals; and public speaking/program presentation. Prefer animal related education/degrees or related work experience with animals or public presentations. Non-smoker, no tattoos that cannot be covered by clothing. Located 14 miles from Denton, TX home of two universities. Serving the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Starting $10 to $11 per hr., plus medical stipend. Available until position filled. This is the first presenter position we have had open since 2004.

Entry Level/Part-time Animal Keeper: Duties may include, but are not limited to: l Maintenance of animal enclosures and surrounding areas. l Pick-up produce daily & diet preparation. l Inventory supplies i.e. produce, dry feed & bedding. l Conduct "rounds" to ensure enclosures are secured & animals have fresh water. l Observation & records. l Construct and provide behavioral enrichment WantedPart-time Zoo KeeperAnimal Edutainment Inc., a wildlife educational outreach organization, seeks reliable, self motivated, responsible individual with a professional appearance for the position of Part-time zookeeper. Ability to work both independently, and as a team player important. Related experience preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include: daily care and maintenance of animal collection. Must be available to work at least one day most weekends. Starting $8.00 to $9.00 per hour. 16 to 36 hours per week.
Located 45 min. North of Dallas/Fort Worth, 15 minutes East of Denton.
This is a unique opportunity for those looking to get started working in the animal field. Past employees have gone on to work at zoos and other animal facilities.
